If you claim more than 5000km per year, you will need to already have a 3 month logbook filled out. This should include every trip, details and km in the one vehicle and a indicator of whether it was for work or personal purposes. This is to claim back KM deductions at the end of the financial year as well as a portion of repairs, tyres, services etc as dictated by your work/personal % use.
